Safety & Medical Disclaimer

Please read before your first session.
GLISSA is a consumer wellness product, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or condition. The content is intended solely to support relaxation and sleep onset in generally healthy adults.
1. Not medical advice. Nothing in GLISSA, on this website, or in any communication from Antarjyoti Neurosciences constitutes medical, psychiatric, psychological, or therapeutic advice. Always seek the advice of a qualified physician or licensed mental-health professional with any questions regarding a medical or psychological condition, including persistent insomnia. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or heard in GLISSA.
2. Photosensitivity & seizure warning. A very small percentage of people may experience seizures when exposed to certain light patterns or flashing imagery, even with no prior history. This is sometimes called photosensitive epilepsy. GLISSA uses slow, low-contrast visual entrainment, but if you, or anyone in your family, have an epileptic condition or have experienced seizures of any kind, consult your doctor before using GLISSA. Stop immediately and consult a physician if you experience dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitches, loss of awareness, disorientation, involuntary movements, or convulsions.
3. Headphone & volume safety. Prolonged exposure to loud audio can cause permanent hearing damage. Start each session at a low volume and increase only to a comfortably soft level. Do not use GLISSA at volumes that prevent you from hearing surrounding sounds you need to hear (smoke alarms, alarms for children, doorbells). Children using GLISSA should always use volume-limited headphones (≤ 85 dB).
4. Do not use while operating vehicles or machinery. GLISSA sessions are designed to induce drowsiness and sleep. Do not start a session while driving, cycling, operating heavy machinery, or performing any activity that requires alertness. Use only when you are safely settled in bed or in a place where falling asleep is safe.
5. Pregnancy, infants, and vulnerable users. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using audio-visual entrainment products. GLISSA is not designed for infants or children under 13 and should not be used as a substitute for safe sleep practices in babies and young children.
6. Mental-health conditions. If you have been diagnosed with, or are being treated for, depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, bipolar disorder, psychosis, or any other psychiatric condition, please consult your treating clinician before using GLISSA. The product is not a substitute for therapy or prescribed medication. If you are in crisis or experiencing suicidal thoughts, contact a local emergency service or a suicide prevention helpline immediately — in India, iCall 9152987821 or Vandrevala Foundation 1860-2662-345; in the United States, 988; in the United Kingdom, Samaritans 116 123.
7. Pacemakers and implanted devices. GLISSA uses audio and visual stimulation only and does not produce electromagnetic fields beyond those of a normal phone. However, if you have a pacemaker, cochlear implant, or other implanted medical device, please consult your physician before using audio-frequency entrainment products of any kind.
8. Substance use. Do not use GLISSA while under the influence of alcohol, sedatives, hypnotics, or any substance that already alters consciousness.
9. Discontinue if uncomfortable. If at any time a session causes headache, nausea, agitation, ear pain, or any other discomfort, stop using GLISSA immediately and consult a healthcare professional if symptoms persist.
10. No clinical claims. Statements about relaxation, sleep onset, or "deep calm" describe the intended user experience, not a guaranteed clinical outcome. Individual responses vary.
By using GLISSA you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to follow this Safety & Medical Disclaimer, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Notice.
